On the roster of entertainment, Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament in Scottsdale presents a show unlike any other. First, the Battle of Champions awaits guests as they witness two armored warriors swing their weapons in a masterfully coordinated scene. Next, the show displays its majestic horses who gallop with speed as the two riders aim their lances to the delight of the queen. More battles ensue until the vanquished yields and the crowd applauds with an uproar. The beautiful falcons are next, where the Royal Falconer not only expounds upon the history of these birds, but he or she also shows what it takes to become a companion with them. If you happen to love the horses, Medieval Times excellently displays an impressive equestrian show. In fact, the horses receive advanced-level dressage from the moment they are born and each one is carefully placed with the right rider (or knight in this case) every time.
Dinner & Drinks with the Queen
Since these battles take place in 11th Century Spain, the kitchens prepare a four-course feast similar to those eaten on the Iberian Peninsula. To begin, noble guests receive crunchy garlic bread and a tomato bisque soup, and then the roasted chicken, sweet buttered corn and herb-basted potatoes arrive with your choice of non-alcoholic beverage. Additionally, the queen does not forget about her vegetarian guests, as they will also receive a feast fit for royalty. In terms of libations, Medieval Times can still provide a stein of ale; however, you can also order drinks such as margaritas, pina coladas, daiquiris, etc. Though the margarita may be an anachronism on your table, Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament is all about fun and entertainment.
